Editing Sell Postings
You can take these actions with regard to each line item:
- Edit various fields: Most of the fields on the Postings window are editable. Click the field and replace the existing data with new data.
Note: Once an offer has been submitted to buy any portion of a posting, the posting can not be edited for the duration of the transaction (that is, until the offer is accepted, declined or autocanceled.)
- Undo: Click the line-level Undo button
to return the line to the way it was before you started editing--if you haven't yet clicked Update My Postings. (Once you have clicked the Update My Postings button, previous revisions have been accepted and cannot be undone.)
- Close (remove) the line item: Click the "line-level" Close checkbox
to close the item.
Note: Once an offer has been submitted to buy any portion of a posting, the posting can not be closed for the duration of the transaction (that is, until the offer is accepted, declined or autocanceled.)
- View Details: Click the Details icon
to view and edit Equipment Location, Serial #, Active Asset #, and Comments. To change any of the data, type new data in the appropriate field, then click the Update My Posting button.
The Postings [My Excess] window also has these buttons:
- Undo All Changes -- Click the page-level Undo button
to undo all changes you have made in the window, as long as you have not yet clicked the Update My Postings button.
- Close All My Postings -- Closes all the postings at once instead of requiring you to check all the "line-level" Close checkboxes.
Note 1: Postings associated with open transactions will not close for the duration of the transaction (that is, until the offer is accepted, declined or autocanceled.)
Note 2: Once closed, a posting cannot be reopened. To re-post an item, you must reload the posting, either by text file or manually at the My Postings screen.
- Add A Posting -- Opens a new window in which you can add a single line item to your existing postings.
When you are finished with your changes, click the Update My Postings button.
