The Message Center

Whenever you login to PartBridge.com, you should look first at the Message Center in the upper right-hand corner of the home page. It will tell you about any system issues or updates, and, most importantly, it will display information about your postings, opportunities and open transactions.

Items about postings, opportunities and transactions in the Message Center are hyperlinks (although they are not underlined). Clicking on an item takes you to the appropriate window.

Example: When you click on the statement about Seller Postings (Excess), the Postings [My Excess] window opens.

Notice that messages of interest to Buyers are displayed on the left and messages of interest to Sellers are displayed on the right.

When first created, opportunities and transactions pending approval are listed in the Message Center as "new." After you view new opportunities and transactions pending approval, they are no longer listed as "new."

Example: A Seller logs on to PartBridge.com and sees that a transaction has become available for seller approval. The Message Center says "1 Seller Approvals Pending (1 new)."

After the Seller accesses the Seller Approvals Pending window (regardless of whether the Seller takes any action to approve or decline the offer), the Message Center reads "1 Seller Approvals Pending (0 new)."

If the Message Center seems to be displaying out-of-date information, try refreshing the window. (Click the Refresh button in your browser.)

The Message Center works together with PartBridge e-mail messages to keep you informed of the status of your activities.
