Displayed as %Match, this field shows how closely a posted excess matches a posted shortage or how closely a search for buying or selling opportunities matches a corresponding posted shortage or excess. % match for Quick Search for Direct Materials is based on Manufacturer Part No (MPN) (external) or Internal Part Number (IPN) (internal). % match for Quick Search for Capital and Expensed Equipment is based upon Model #.
Example: A seller posts an excess of parts with a manufacturer's part number of 123A and a buyer posts a shortage of parts with manufacturer's part number of 123B. Because 3 out of the 4 characters in the MPNs match, PartBridge displays a 75% match.
